Overview
We are seeking a Senior Business Analyst for our Milwaukee, WI office. The role is a hybrid opportunity working 2-3 days per week in office at our Milwaukee headquarters.
Responsibilities- Lead the elicitation of functional and nonfunctional requirements using interviews, workshops, and surveys to produce business process descriptions, use cases, and user stories.
- Mentor junior Business Analysts on elicitation techniques.
- Apply advanced BA approaches and techniques to complex efforts.
- Collaborate with project team members to establish technical vision and analyze tradeoffs, leading execution and mentoring others.
- Develop end-to-end knowledge of the technology environment and partners.
- Guide the team on leveraging data for requirement development.
- Build trusting relationships and represent IT in strategic conversations with business partners and CRG leaders, identifying and resolving conflicting objectives.
- Communicate information effectively and pivot as needed.
- Serve as a business analyst role model across the IT portfolio, assessing development needs and mentoring other Business Analysts.
- Act as a subject matter expert within the BA Community of Practice.
- Lead large and complex initiatives, coordinate organizational changes, and drive continuous improvement across the portfolio.
- Identify and manage project risks, issues, dependencies, and milestones.
- Maintain the department’s technology backlog, prioritize work, and articulate ROI of prioritized initiatives.
- Conduct regular meetings with end users to understand business needs and manage competing priorities.
- Participate in the design and execution of a quality approach, facilitating requirements validation and user acceptance testing with clients, vendors, and team members.
- Support continuous improvement on quality assurance practices.
- At least 7 years of IT-related experience including a minimum of 5 years in Business Analysis and/or Product Management.
- B.S. in Computer Science, MIS, Business Administration, or Finance (equivalent experience will be considered).
- Preferred:
Two years serving as a Business Analyst or Product Manager in the financial industry; experience in an agile/lean delivery environment. - Proficient in Microsoft Office and experienced with prototyping, modeling, data analysis, reporting, backlog, and value stream management tools (MS Visio, Power
BI, Balsamiq, Rally). - Preferred:
Exposure to SQL data visualization techniques; exposure to Salesforce. - Strong communication, collaboration, influence without authority, and exceptional organizational, critical thinking, and problem‑solving skills.
