As a newly established business division of AXA XL Americas, our Middle Markets business focuses on the expansion of AXA XL’s current offerings to Middle Market clients in the US Commercial P&C market. In this role you will be responsible for servicing the newly formed Middle Market Risk Consulting business and managing internal and external relationships for Middle Market with Risk Engineering networks and stakeholders.
Responsibilities- Manage service accounts for Middle Market P&C clients with a focus on delivering Property & Casualty service initiatives. Oversee quality of vendor services, develop service plans, and conduct stewardship reviews.
- Conduct virtual assessments and on-site visits inclusive of all P&C coverage lines. Develop detailed reports to relay conditions and provide recommendations for improvement.
- Analyze building construction, fire protection features, process operations, and special hazards. Provide technical consultation and plan review of fire protection systems, fire alarms, etc.
- Business interruption review and consultation towards business contingency plan development. Review Property loss estimates including Normal Loss Expectancy, Probably Maximum Loss, and Maximum Foreseeable Loss.
- Assess hazards impacting clients, public and subcontractors. High‑level review of contractual risk transfer terms and conditions. Analysis of product loss potential.
- Assessment of Worker Compensation exposures and respective safety controls around EHS programs, safety management structures, safety training, job hazards, occupational diseases, ergonomic needs, and post‑injury management.
- Review Commercial Auto hazards and Fleet Safety controls around driver qualifications, disciplinary actions, training, vehicle maintenance, ADAs, telematics, accident investigation, and regulatory compliance from provincial and territorial governments.
- Travel is anticipated to be 30% domestically to client locations.
- Extensive risk‑control experience in Property and Casualty; experience servicing clients is necessary.
- Robust working knowledge of fire protection, NFPA codes, FM data sheets, and local requirements.
- Ability to apply industry experience to a broad range of customers and projects, consult effectively on a broad range of property risk controls, and identify exposures/assess controls on complex risks.
- Outstanding customer relationship and negotiation skills; build rapport.
- Proficient presentation skills, including written and verbal.
- Ability to summarize large amounts of information and deliver against deadlines.
- Knowledge of the functionality of IT systems and risk‑management platforms.
- Skilled in time management and work techniques.
- Valid driver’s license required.
- Professional designations including Certified Safety Professional (CSP), Associate in Risk Management (ARM), and/or Certified Fire Protection Specialist (CFPS) are preferred.
