Director of Safety / Assistant General Superintendent

Seeking an experienced safety leader to oversee company-wide safety programs and support field operations. This dual‑role position drives safety culture, ensures regulatory compliance, and assists with managing construction field activities to deliver safe, efficient, and high‑quality projects.

• Develop and manage the corporate safety and risk management program.
• Ensure compliance with OSHA and all applicable regulations.
• Lead safety meetings, inspections, investigations, and training.
• Manage incident reporting, root‑cause analysis, and corrective actions.
• Maintain site safety equipment and documentation (Procore).
• Provide quarterly safety performance reports to leadership.
• Assist in overseeing daily field operations and project execution.
• Coordinate field personnel, subcontractors, and jobsite logistics.
• Help maintain project schedules and identify potential delays.
• Conduct site inspections for safety, quality, and adherence to plans.
• Mentor and support superintendents and field staff.
• Participate in project progress meetings and short‑term fill‑in coverage when needed.

• Bachelor’s degree in Construction Management, Occupational Safety, or related field preferred.
• 10+ years of construction experience with strong safety leadership.
• Certifications:
  
  CSP, CHST, OSHA 30 (required).
• Strong knowledge of OSHA regulations and construction operations.
• Excellent leadership, communication, and problem‑solving skills.
• Proficient in Procore and Microsoft Office.
• Valid driver’s license and ability to pass a background check.
