FOX Television Stations owns and operates 29 full‑power broadcast television stations in the U.S., including stations in 14 of the top 15 DMAs. 18 are affiliated with the FOX Network and collectively produce approximately 1,200 hours of local news each week.
Job DescriptionVice President, News & Content – FOX 6 newsroom leader responsible for editorial vision and a 24/7 content operation across broadcast, streaming, digital, FAST channels, and social media.
Key Responsibilities Leadership & Culture- Lead and manage newsroom personnel to deliver high‑quality, continuous live and on‑demand content.
- Foster a collaborative, inclusive, and high‑performing newsroom culture rooted in empathy, accountability, and clear communication.
- Recruit, develop, coach, and mentor talent, focusing on professional growth and succession planning.
- Serve as a steady leader during breaking news, severe weather, and crisis situations.
- Take an active role in addressing personnel matters, collaborating with internal partners to ensure they are addressed properly.
- Oversee editorial direction and content production across all platforms.
- Set and uphold editorial and ethical standards to ensure accurate, balanced, and trusted journalism.
- Drive a live breaking news strategy focused on urgency, clarity, and community relevance.
- Act as the voice of the viewer, ensuring coverage reflects and serves the Milwaukee community.
- Develop and execute innovative 24/7 content strategies and original programming, with priority on streaming platforms including FOX Local.
- Ensure seamless integration of content across linear, digital, streaming, FAST, and social platforms.
- Lead a digital‑first, streaming‑forward content strategy using analytics and audience insights to drive real‑time engagement and audience growth across platforms.
- Set newsroom priorities, budgets, forecasts, and resource allocation.
- Stay ahead of media trends, emerging technologies, and evolving audience behaviors.
- Partner closely with the SVP & General Manager to align newsroom strategy with station and company goals and ensure 24/7 communication of critical information.
- Minimum 5 years of senior newsroom leadership experience preferred.
- Bachelor’s degree in Journalism, Communications, or related field preferred.
- Proven people leader with strong emotional intelligence and coaching skills.
- Excellent communicator with strong editorial judgment and commitment to ethical journalism.
- Demonstrated success driving streaming and digital audience growth.
- Strong understanding of analytics, research, and performance metrics.
- Ability to lead calmly and decisively in a fast‑paced, high‑pressure environment.
- Flexibility to work nights, weekends, holidays, and during breaking news or severe weather.
- Ability to travel locally and nationally as needed.
- Must meet standard physical and operational requirements of the role.

Compensation & BenefitsPay range: $– annually (dependent on education, skills, experience, and location). Eligible for annual discretionary bonus and benefits including medical, dental, vision, insurance, 401(k), paid time off, and other benefits per plan documents. Union represented employees receive benefits per collective bargaining agreement.
