Position OverviewMarquette University School of Dentistry invites applications for a Comprehensive Patient Management Group (CPMG) Leader-Advanced Standing Placement (ASP).

The school is serving the community on its main campus and community-based clinics in Milwaukee and through outreach clinics across the state of Wisconsin.
CPMG Leaders oversee the students, patients and staff assigned to the groups and are responsible for the management of all patient care delivered within the groups. Group Leaders play a key role in predoctoral clinical operations and student’s achievement of clinical competencies. The faculty in this role will assist the CPMG leaders by addressing the support needed by the ASP students unique to this program.
and Responsibilities
CPMG Leaders are responsible for students’ clinical progress and the achievement of clinical training milestones. CPMG Leaders also have an academic responsibility to the education of dental students. CPMG leaders provide guidance, monitoring and direct clinical supervision to their assigned students and promote comprehensive patient care. They are responsible for implementing clinical policies and clinical management to assure calibration among clinics, including daily operations, clinical workflows, appraised clinical assessments, calibrations of clinical faculty, and consistent application of the MUSoD philosophies of clinical care.
Group leaders are expected to model professionalism in oral health care at its best. CPMG Leaders provide functional supervision of staff and clinical instructors.
In addition to the above clinical leadership responsibilities, the incumbent will be involved in the recruitment, admissions, onboarding, mentoring and clinical skill evaluation (bench testing) of Advanced Standing Placement (ASP) students. The role also includes assisting with the integration of ASP students by supporting their adaptation to cultural differences and performing related administrative duties.
Skills and Abilities
Qualified applicants must have DMD / DDS degree from a US or Canadian dental school recognized by the ADA Commission on Dental Accreditation or a comparable foreign degree. Applicants must show well developed skills in all areas of clinical dentistry, particularly related to treatment planning, restorative dentistry, and prosthodontics. Applicants must exhibit strong collaborative and leadership skills to employ policies diligently and implement MUSoD’s philosophies of clinical care in a consistent manner.
Applicants must hold a valid dental license in some state or jurisdiction and be eligible for a regular license or faculty license in the State of Wisconsin.
Skills and Abilities
Five years of teaching experience or other suitable professional experience preferred.
