Role Overview

We are seeking a Pediatrician who works as an acute care provider in one or more of Children's Wisconsin's urgent care clinics. The provider will deliver appropriate acute pediatric care, maintain compliance with OSHA standards, and ensure quality care.

Minimum Qualifications
  • Current licensure to practice medicine in Wisconsin
  • Malpractice insurance at $400,000/$1,000,000 and participation in the Patient Compensation Fund
  • Current DEA number
  • ABP eligible or certified by the American Board of Pediatrics
  • CPR certification - BLS for Healthcare Providers (American Heart or Red Cross)
  • Membership in CHW medical staff in the Department of Medicine with core privileges in pediatrics or CHW pediatric PL3
  • Proficiency in urgent care skills typically acquired during pediatric residency
  • Good communication and interpersonal skills
  • Physical and mental ability to perform patient care duties
  • Good medical record documentation skills
  • Interest and ability in teaching students and professionals
  • Physical ability to lift/carry 20 lbs frequently, 50 lbs occasionally, and push/pull up to 50 lbs
  • Ability to reach overhead, squat, bend, kneel, stand, walk, and move about regularly
Certifications and Licenses
  • American Board of Pediatrics certification or eligibility
  • BLS - Basic Life Support for Healthcare Providers
  • DEA Certification
  • Medical Doctor (MD) license in Wisconsin
