Rhino Medical is leading the charge seeking Emergency Medicine Physicians (MD/DO) for a locum tenens opportunity in Wisconsin Rapids, WI . This position offers moderate-to-high patient volume, strong APC support, and competitive compensation in a well-equipped emergency department with hospitalist coverage for admissions.

Opportunity Details:

• Location: Wisconsin Rapids, WI
• Contract Type: Emergency Medicine Physician Locum Tenens
• Start Date: ASAP
• Shift Schedule:
  • Day Shift: 7 AM – 7 PM
  • Night Shift: 7 PM – 7 AM
• Minimum Commitment: Flexible
• Practice Setting: Physician-led Emergency Department
• Facility Details:
  • Annual Volume: 20,000 – 25,000 patient visits
  • 16 ED Beds
  • Physician Coverage: 24-hour MD coverage
  • APC Coverage: 22 hours per day (MD-supervised, strong APCs)
  • Hospitalist Service Manages Admissions
• EMR System: Epic
• Travel & Lodging: Provided

Patient Load & Flow:

• Patients Per Hour: 2.2 – 2.4

Procedures & Responsibilities:

• MDs Supervise APCs
• Physicians May Respond to Codes if Available (Hospitalists Always On-Site)
• Physicians Perform X-Ray Reads Overnight, STAT RAD for Advanced Imaging

Provider Requirements:

• Certification:
  • ABEM or AOBEM Board Certified
  • ABFM with Extensive Busy EM Experience Accepted
  • EM Board Eligible Physicians with EM Residency Completion Accepted
  • ABIM with Emergency Medicine Experience Accepted
• Licensure: Must Have Active & Unrestricted Wisconsin State License to Be Presented
• Required Certifications: ACLS, PALS
