Assistant Director, Marquette Mentor Prg role at Marquette University

The Assistant Director manages significant and ongoing communication with all program participants, as well as event planning, social media efforts and data implementation for the Marquette Mentors Program. The program serves approximately 2,000 student mentees and alumni mentors across more than 25 states and Europe.

Responsibilities
  • Collaborate and work closely with alumni mentors, student mentees, mentee alumni, campus partners, and University Advancement staff to help ensure goals are attained through high‑touch, 1:1 mentor‑mentee partnerships.
  • Provide support in the preparation, launch, year‑long implementation, and long‑range planning of Marquette Mentors, including significant communication and marketing efforts for more than 400 annual participants.
  • Assist with mentor program communication and marketing initiatives ranging from online collateral materials, social media, event planning, research, and online support to best serve participants.
  • Maintain ongoing communication and cultivation with approximately 1,500 previous mentees and mentors to keep them engaged through marketing, events, and volunteer initiatives.
  • Assist with online platform initiatives related to Marquette Mentors and the Marquette Career Network, managing the platform, providing user support, strategic marketing, and training for internal and external audiences.
  • Maintain a database of approximately 2,000 mentors and mentee alumni related to career and professional development updates.
  • Identify additional resources, such as video content and best practices, to better serve program participants.
Qualifications
  • B.A. degree in marketing, communication, special events, education, non‑profit, or related field.
  • Three years of experience in a similar role.
  • Strong writing and organizational skills, particularly in marketing and communication.
  • Experience with social media platforms, such as Linked In.
  • Proficient in Microsoft Office, Excel, and PowerPoint.
