Role Description

This is a full‑time, on‑site role for a Fourth Grade Educational Assistant at Milwaukee College Prep in Milwaukee, WI. The Fourth Grade Educational Assistant will support the lead teacher by preparing classroom materials, assisting with instruction, managing classroom behavior, and working one‑on‑one or in small groups with students to strengthen their understanding of academic concepts. Additional responsibilities include collaborating with the teaching team to support student learning objectives, maintaining a safe and respectful classroom environment, and communicating effectively with students, teachers, and families.

Qualifications
  • Experience working with elementary‑age students and fostering a positive learning environment.
  • Skills in classroom management, student support, and one‑on‑one or small group instruction.
  • Strong verbal and written communication skills to collaborate effectively with students, colleagues, and families.
  • Ability to work collaboratively with a team of educators and adapt to varying educational needs.
  • Flexibility, patience, and a commitment to promoting academic and social excellence among students.
  • A high school diploma or equivalent is required; an associate or bachelor’s degree in education or a related field is preferred.
  • Previous experience in an educational setting or with urban education is a plus.
