Academics- Deliver rigorous, engaging instruction and ensure every learner meets or exceeds academic goals.
- Use differentiated instruction, individual and small group strategies to meet each student’s needs.
- Analyze academic data to tailor whole and small‑group instruction.
- Plan and deliver standards‑aligned lesson plans for Algebra I & II, Geometry, Pre‑Calculus, Calculus, Statistics, and AP/Advanced courses.
- Adapt instruction for students with IEPs or ELL status.
- Assess proficiency, provide constructive feedback, and promote application of concepts.
- Maintain accurate records of attendance, grades, and progress.
- Collaborate on assessment analysis to adjust strategies.
- Prepare students for SAT, ACT, AP exams.
- Integrate technology to enhance learning.
- Build trusting relationships so each child feels known, seen, and loved.
- Serve as cultural and spiritual model, demonstrating God’s love.
- Support character development by modeling Aug Prep Way: integrity, respect, courage, perseverance.
- Communicate proactively with students, families, and colleagues.
- Work collaboratively with supervisors, students, parents, and community members.
- Continuously seek professional growth through meetings, PD, coursework, workshops.
- Perform related tasks: hall duty, lunch duty, advising extracurricular activities.
- Serve with a flexible, open heart that recognizes no duty is outside the scope of your role.
- Belief in the ability of every child with a commitment to excellence.
- Bachelor’s Degree in Mathematics, Math Education, or related field required; master’s degree preferred.
- Proven experience as a Mathematics Teacher (high school level preferred).
- Active participation in a Christian church.
- Effective oral and written communication skills.
- Thorough understanding of high school mathematical concepts.
- Team player committed to the St. Augustine Prep mission.
- Experience teaching AP, Honors, or advanced math courses is a plus.
- Expertise in mathematical concepts, reasoning, and problem‑solving strategies.
- Strong background in math pedagogy and support for developing fluency.
