The Fellow will have several opportunities to be prepared to transition to a lead teacher position within two years. A Fellow Teacher will work closely with the Administration at their school level to develop, plan, and prepare lessons alongside the lead teachers. The Fellow will work in connection with the lead teachers in the classroom to teach, re‑teach, provide small‑groups, or support in other ways in a variety of classrooms.

The Fellow will serve as the school‑level substitute and provide sub coverage for daily absences. The Fellow may also be requested to cover staff on extended leave. Fellows cover a variety of academic subjects based on school needs and their skill set.

• Serve as the school‑level substitute and provide coverage for daily absences and/or extended absences.
• Plan and execute highly engaging and academically rigorous lessons for the school level assigned.
• Seek opportunities to integrate Biblical truth with lessons.
• Have bi‑weekly meetings with an instructional coach/Administrator and implement feedback to improve practice.
• Implement curriculum and activities to ensure students meet academic benchmarks and grade‑level standards.
• Use academic data to modify whole and small‑group instruction to best meet student needs.
• Support intervention/acceleration periods for the school level assigned.
• Work with instructional aides, lead teachers, and parent/community volunteers.

• Build trusting relationships with students so each child feels known, seen and loved.
• Serve as the cultural and spiritual model for students, always interacting respectfully and striving to demonstrate God’s love to students and families.
• Support students’ character development by modeling and reinforcing the Aug Prep Way, serving in love with integrity, respect, courage and perseverance.
