Candidates should be organized, detail oriented, and show expertise in developing lesson plans.

• Deliver rigorous, engaging instruction and ensure every learner meets or exceeds academic goals.
• Grounded in a deep belief in the potential of every student, implement instructional strategies to provide individualized and small group instruction by adapting the 9-12 curriculum to meet the needs of each pupil.
• Use academic data to modify both whole and small‑group instruction in order to best meet the needs of their students.
• Plan and Deliver Instruction:
  Plan, prepare, and deliver engaging and standards‑aligned lessons for high school social studies courses, encouraging students to analyze complex historical and contemporary issues.
• Foster Critical Analysis:
  Guide students in analyzing primary and secondary sources, evaluating different perspectives, and constructing well‑supported historical arguments and informed civic opinions.
• Integrate Current Events:
  Connect historical and theoretical concepts to relevant current events and global issues to make the subject matter timely and relevant.
• Differentiate Learning:
  Adapt instruction, materials, and assignments to meet the varied learning needs, abilities, and interests of all students, including those with IEPs or ELL status.
