In This Role

You Will be an exceptional collaborator and team player, have a deep understanding of mathematics within the content area, and an ability to connect with and inspire students. We are particularly interested in educators passionate about working in a diverse education setting as a part of a high-performing, driven staff. Ideal candidates will also be well versed in strategies to promote metacognitive engagement and be willing to go the extra mile for students.

Candidates should be organized, detail oriented, and show expertise in developing lesson plans.

Academics
  • Deliver rigorous, engaging instruction and ensure every learner meets or exceeds academic goals.
  • Grounded in a deep belief in the potential of every student, implement instructional strategies to provide individualized and small group instruction by adapting the 9-12 curriculum to meet the needs of each pupil.
  • Use academic data to modify both whole and small-group instruction in order to best meet the needs of their students.
  • Plan and Deliver Instruction:
    Develop and implement rigorous, standards-aligned lesson plans for various high school mathematics courses (e.g., Algebra I & II, Geometry, Pre-Calculus, Calculus, Statistics) aligned with state/national standards.
  • Differentiate Learning:
    Adapt instruction, materials, and assignments to meet the varied learning needs, abilities, and interests of all students, including those with IEPs or ELL status.
  • Evaluate work:
    Assess and evaluate students’ mathematical understanding, problem-solving skills, and work accuracy using clear rubrics and by providing detailed, constructive feedback.

    Design learning activities that demonstrate the real-world application of mathematical concepts and encourage creative thinking and problem-solving.
