Work will include field observation and testing along with geotechnical analysis and report writing under direction of a licensed engineer. Occasional travel and work in other GESTRA locations may be needed based on projects received. Prior experience preferred, but not required to apply.
RequirementsBachelor’s of Science in related engineering field and E.I.T. certification
Ability to read and understand construction plans
Good driving record and valid WI driver's license
Must pass pre-employment, non-DOT drug screening
Clear and concise English communication skills both written and verbal
Ability to work outside in a variety of weather conditions and ability to lift 40 pounds unassisted
Preferences- Certified Soil Tester or Professional Soil Scientist
- Masters in Geotechnical Engineering + 2 yr experience or other suitable qualifications
- Prior DOT testing experience
- Experience with computer aided geotechnical analysis including but not limited to AUTOCAD, L-pile, Driven, gINT, SEEP/W, SLOPE/W, GSTABL7, and MEPDG
- Experience performing tri-axial, consolidation permeability tests
- Experience performing pressure meter tests and dynamic cone penetration tests

- Pay is based on level of prior experience, and valid applicable certifications.
