We are hiring for our Green Bay, Madison, Milwaukee, and Eau Claire, WI offices. The ideal candidate will have expertise in bridge, retaining wall, and box culvert design. This role plays a key role across JT's municipal, transportation, and site development groups.

Job Responsibilities
  • Leading the structural design of projects from concept through construction
  • Mentoring junior staff and performing quality control reviews of structural deliverables
  • Collaborating with colleagues and embracing JT’s values and culture
  • Communicating effectively internally and externally
  • Performing quality work within established guidelines
  • Assisting with the management of project budgets
  • Interpreting and adhering to internal Quality Control processes
Job Requirements
  • A Bachelor of Science Degree in Civil Engineering from an accredited university
  • Minimum 5 years of relevant experience
  • A Professional Engineer (PE) License in the State of Wisconsin or ability to obtain PE within 6 months of hire
  • Experience with AutoCAD Civil 3D, Mathcad, RISA, LEAP Bridge, MDX, Eriksson Culvert and other comparable structural design software
  • Familiarity with the WisDOT, AASHTO, ASCE, NDS, AISC, and other structural design codes (preferred)
  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills
  • Technical competence to perform project tasks independently
  • Knowledge of client and internal software required to complete projects
  • A valid driver's license and reliable transportation to worksites, meetings with clients, and conferences
  • Legally authorized to work permanently (without time limitations or sponsorship) in the country where this position is located
  • Ability to travel out-of-town and overnight for professional development and/or project-related work
