Quality Engineer Onsite – Global Power Components

Location:

Milwaukee, WI – 100% onsite.

Job Summary

We are seeking a proactive and detail‑oriented Quality Engineer to drive continuous improvement initiatives and ensure product and process quality in our manufacturing operations.

Key Responsibilities
  • Lead and support quality improvement projects across manufacturing processes to reduce defects and enhance customer satisfaction.
  • Conduct root cause analysis and implement corrective and preventive actions (CAPA) for internal and external quality issues.
  • Develop and maintain quality documentation, including control plans, inspection instructions, and SOPs.
  • Collaborate with cross‑functional teams (Production, Engineering, Supply Chain) to ensure quality standards throughout the product lifecycle.
  • Perform data analysis on quality metrics and present findings to management with actionable recommendations.
  • Support internal and external audits, including ISO 9001, and monitor supplier quality performance through audits and corrective actions.
  • Train and mentor production staff on quality standards, tools, and best practices.
  • Travel between 3 sites within a 5‑mile commuting distance.
Qualifications
  • Associate or bachelor’s degree in engineering, quality, or a related field.
  • 3+ years of experience in a manufacturing quality improvement role.
  • Strong knowledge of quality tools such as APQP, FMEA, CTQ, SPC, 8‑D, 5‑Why, Fishbone Analysis, Pareto, and control charts.
  • Experience with ISO 9001, Lean Manufacturing, and Six Sigma methodologies (a plus).
  • Experience in sheet metal fabrication, welding, paint, and electrical/mechanical assembly processes (a plus).
  • Proficiency in data analysis tools (MS Excel, Minitab, or similar).
