Experienced Mechanical​/Utilities Engineer

Mead & Hunt, a nationally recognized professional services consulting firm, is experiencing unprecedented growth. As a result, we have a full-time position available for an Experienced Mechanical/Utilities Engineer within our Food & Beverage group.

• Conducting job-site surveys of food and beverage plants and utility systems
• Developing project documentation including drawings, piping and instrumentation diagrams (P&'s), equipment schedules, details, specifications, scope of work, etc.
• Selecting and applying system equipment to new and existing systems
• Coordinating technical specifications, delivery requirements, and quotation parameters with outside equipment suppliers, subcontractors, and clients.
• Travel will be required.

• A bachelor's degree or higher in mechanical engineering from a college or university
• At least 4 years of relevant experience.

• On-site experience in integrating equipment into existing systems
• Experience with equipment selection
• Experience developing piping and instrumentation diagrams (P&IDs) for food and/or industrial projects
• EIT certification, PE license strongly preferred
• Proficiency in Microsoft Office software
• Experience with Auto Desk software (Revit, Navisworks, Plant 3D, etc)
• Experience with hydraulic analysis software (Pipe-Flo, AFT Fathom, etc.)
• Experience with pipe stress analysis software (AutoPIPE, Caesar, etc.)
• Familiarity with managing project invoices
• Experience mentoring less experienced staff.
• Food plant experience

Salary range: $96,000 - $134,000 - Actual compensation may vary due to other factors such as: experience, skill set or location.
