Civil AutoCAD Technician role at HGA

We are seeking a talented and detail-oriented Civil AutoCAD Technician and Designer to join our expanding Civil Engineering Department in Minneapolis, MN or Milwaukee, WI
. This is a unique opportunity to collaborate with architects, engineers, and planners on high-impact projects that shape communities and elevate the human experience.

You Will Need To Have

  • Associate or bachelor’s degree related to C3D drawing production, engineering or similar. Other drafting qualifications/certifications will be considered
  • 5+ years of AutoCAD software design and drafting experience
  • A strong proficiency in AutoCAD Civil3D
  • Strong understanding of design concepts including earthwork, surface, site grading, pipe network, ArcGIS, etc
  • Ability to read and translate architectural floor plans and technical drawings
  • Basic understanding of building design and mechanical processes
  • High degree of detail orientation and strong analytical skills
  • Ability to work independently and within a team environment

You Will Do

  • Develop detailed technical drawings and plans based on project specifications and requirements
  • Collaborate with engineers, architects, and other professionals to understand project goals and objectives and ensure seamless integration of design elements into overall project plans
  • Create 2D and 3D models for land development infrastructure such as site layout, grading, roadways, and utilities
  • Review and modify drawings to correct errors and ensure compliance with regulations and quality standards
  • Maintain organized files and documentation and support in the development of AutoCAD blocks and templates for use in drawings

Salary Information

The pay range listed aligns to the geography of the office for which this position is posted. Actual compensation will be based upon work experience, education, licensure requirements and/or skill level and will be finalized at the time of offer. Individuals in this role working more than 24 hours a week on a regular basis are eligible to participate in HGA’s robust benefit programs which include an annual bonus and success sharing bonus program, 401(k) guaranteed contribution, paid parental leave, medical, dental and life insurance plans as well as PTO and short- and long-term disability programs.

Salary Range: $60,400 - $81,600.
