Overview
Lead Custom Project Automation Electrical Controls Engineer
This full-time, permanent position is with an employee-oriented, custom automation machinery engineering and manufacturing company. The company designs custom automation equipment and also produces standard products sold worldwide. The engineering group consists of six engineers, providing opportunities to have a meaningful impact. Engineers see designs manufactured on the factory floor at the same location and the company promotes from within.
Responsibilities- Creating designs for custom automation
- Coordinating, overseeing and mentoring multiple engineers on projects
- Ensuring technical performance and profitability
- Programming and designing custom PLCs
- Ensuring proper functioning of electric, pneumatic, hydraulic, and programming for each assigned project
- Taking projects from concept through field commissioning
- Interacting with PLCs, OITs, robots, servos, vision systems, instrumentation and control devices
- Utilizing AutoCAD
- Six or more years of custom automation programming and design experience
- Six or more years of HMI and PLC programming and design experience
- Experience with robotics and servos
- Experience coordinating multiple engineers on projects
- Strong knowledge of designing, building, implementing, debugging and troubleshooting factory floor automation
- Strong AutoCAD experience
- Strong schematics creation experience
- Strong electrical engineering experience including component specification, sizing, panel layout, servos, AC/DC drives, networks and so on
- Possess a solid work history
- Being a US citizen or green card holder
- Having a residence within a 45 minute drive
- Pay is up to $
- Must be a United States citizen or Green Card holder
