  • Support the development of Basis of Design (BOD) documents, system narratives, and design criteria packages.
  • Create mechanical floor plans, equipment layouts, sections, details, and piping/ductwork routing drawings.
  • Assist with system sizing, equipment selection, and layout development based on engineering direction.
  • Coordinate mechanical designs with architectural, structural, electrical, plumbing, and fire protection disciplines.
  • Participate in model coordination reviews utilizing Navisworks, Revizto, and BIM collaboration workflows.
  • Identify and resolve interdisciplinary clashes and constructability concerns during design development.
  • Support quality assurance and quality control reviews to ensure compliance with Jacobs standards and client requirements.
  • Provide technical guidance and mentoring to junior designers and BIM staff.
  • Assist project teams during construction administration by supporting RFIs, submittal reviews, and design clarifications as required.
  • Contribute to continuous improvement efforts, including development of standards, details, and BIM best practices.
