Overview

American State Equipment, located in Milwaukee, WI, is seeking an individual for the Parts Coordinator position. This position is ideal for someone who has the ability to work well in a fast paced environment, is driven to organize and improve processes, find solutions to problems, and serve customers with a sense of urgency and in a thorough and professional manner.

Base pay range

$20.00/hr - $26.00/hr

Responsibilities
  • Learn and develop the ability to look up, quote, order, expedite, and track repair parts for parts customers
  • Assist in the coordination parts distribution to the service department and parts sales to customers and communicate information to customers and internal stakeholders as needed
  • Own the execution and results of various parts department projects as assigned by the General Parts Manager (including parts inventory cycle counts, warehouse organization, annual parts returns to vendors, transporting and organizing inventory between locations)
  • Assist parts counter customer support, warehousing, and parts delivery to customers as needed
  • Assist when needed in parts and service phone calls/emails/request to ensure they are handled professionally and expediently
  • Efficiently assists service parts distribution to assist with shop flow and customer needs
  • Perform all required tasks in accordance with the company Employee Handbook
  • Learn and develop knowledge of all products and services provided
  • Maintain communication with the parts team and managers as necessary
  • Develops and maintains full working knowledge of all company systems, procedures, and policies
  • Maintains parts-related correspondence
  • Place stock orders with vendors, correcting pricing and parts substitutions as necessary and maintain back orders.
  • Review and maintain alternate parts data within CDK
  • Maintain and process customer and vendor parts returns, claims, core returns, and credits
  • Assist in documenting processes, procedures, and reference and technical information for the parts department
  • Fill in roles as needed for Warehousing Parts and Service Part Counterpersons
Qualifications
  • Computer, mathematical and customer service skills
  • Ability to maintain professionalism when multitasking within a fast paced work environment
  • Ability to maintain high-quality customer service when handling difficult and time sensitive requests
  • Ability to sit, stand, bend, kneel, stoop and lift/move up to 50 lbs. on a regular basis
  • Ability to work in a dealership environment to include 8-10 hour days
  • Ability to safely operate a forklift
  • Ability to demonstrate product knowledge to assist with purchase decisions
  • Ability to work with team members to solve problems that may not have an established resolution method.
  • Ability to effectively communicate, influence, and resolve issues using various methods (telephone, email, face-to-face, etc.)
  • Must be highly organized, detail-oriented, and results-driven
  • Valid Driver’s License and clean driving record
Education/Experience
  • High School Diploma/GED
  • Good communication skills.
  • Excellent interpersonal relations skills.
  • Strong computer and systems knowledge.
Travel
  • Less than 5%
