This 22‑hour per week position requires working varying weekdays and Saturdays. Being bilingual, fluent in Spanish and English, is preferred.
Branch Hours- Monday through Thursday: 8:30 AM – 5:30 PM
- Friday: 8:30 AM – 6:00 PM
- Saturday: 9:00 AM – 1:00 PM
Performs transactional duties to serve members by receiving or paying out funds with high accuracy. Provides cash receipt and payment services, presents and explains a basic number of credit union products and services, and represents the credit union positively and professionally.
Requirements- High school diploma or equivalent.
- Previous work experience with cash handling or customer service preferred.
- Excellent verbal and written communication skills, problem‑solving skills, organizational skills, and the ability to work independently and meet deadlines.
- Proficiency in all programs and systems used for this job, or the ability to gain proficiency.
- Thorough understanding of company policies and procedures and compliance with all company policies, procedures, and applicable state and federal laws and regulations.
- Ability to stand for long periods of time.
- Provide friendly, courteous, and expedient teller and related services to members, maintaining a balanced cash drawer daily.
- Cross‑sell other member services.
- Process mail deposits and withdrawals.
- Assist in balancing the ATM (if not performed by an outside source).
- Perform open/closing duties with manager on site (if trained).
- Verify checks for other tellers (if trained).
- Perform overrides (if trained).
- Cross‑train to help in other positions within the branch (if trained).
- Attend training at headquarters or an off‑site location (if required).
- Perform other duties as assigned.
