The Wealth Management Trainee Program is a 12-month rotational introduction to the key disciplines of Financial Planning, Trust (Personal, Corporate, Institutional), Retirement Plan Services, Investment Management, and Private Banking within our Private Wealth business line. Trainees can either be recent graduates from college with a curriculum focus relevant to Private Wealth / Wealth Management or colleagues who meet the qualifications for the position and are looking to accelerate and/or redirect their career.

Ideal candidates may be recent college graduates who are prepared to undertake the Certified Financial Planner (CFP) certification program.

Trainees will experience a combination of on the job training with selective classroom training to enhance their development. Within the rotations (exact timing and sequencing may vary), the trainees will go through a structured sequence of tasks to learn the fundamentals of the discipline with the goal of contributing to daily client deliverables for the respective lines of business.

Job Accoutabilities
  • Expand knowledge and expertise through ongoing specialized training.
  • Under guidance, support the successful execution of assigned initiatives, through project planning, coordination of partnerships, project management against defined key milestones, communications between all stakeholders.
  • Complete required program training and assignments, obtaining mandatory industry licenses within prescribed time frames, mastering assessments, and meeting minimum performance and production standards.
  • Learn and understand the Private Wealth / Wealth Management environment including aspects such as the sales and service delivery model, distribution channels, client and industry segmentation, financial planning approach, investment management story, growth strategies, brand, regulatory and compliance standards, and infrastructure, etc.

Bachelor’s Degree Business Administration Required

Bachelor’s Degree Finance Required

Bachelor’s Degree Accounting Required

Bachelor’s Degree Economics Required

Experience

Less than 2 years Required

Licenses and Certifications

CFP-Certified Financial Planner within 3-5 years Required
