We are seeking a detail‑oriented and highly skilled Accounting Manager to support the organization’s financial operations. This position is ideal for a hands‑on accounting professional who thrives in a collaborative environment and enjoys owning processes end to end.

This is an individual contributor role with no direct reports. The position is based in Milwaukee, WI, with a hybrid work arrangement (typically 2–3 days onsite per week).

International experience or exposure (such as foreign currency, multi‑entity consolidations, or cross‑border transactions) is considered a strong plus.

Key Responsibilities
  • Manage monthly, quarterly, and annual close processes to ensure accurate and timely financial results.
  • Prepare journal entries, reconciliations, and supporting schedules.
  • Ensure compliance with GAAP, internal policies, and audit requirements.
General Accounting
  • Maintain and monitor the general ledger, accruals, prepaid schedules, fixed assets, and intercompany transactions.
  • Support consolidation activities and assist with foreign subsidiary reporting if applicable.
  • Oversee account reconciliations and ensure timely resolution of discrepancies.
Analysis & Business Support
  • Assist in preparing management reports, financial analyses, and variance explanations.
  • Partner with cross‑functional teams (FP&A, Operations, HR, Supply Chain) to support business initiatives and provide financial insights.
  • Recommend and implement process improvements to enhance accuracy and efficiency.
Compliance & Audit
  • Support internal and external audits by preparing documentation and responding to auditor inquiries.
  • Ensure compliance with state, federal, and international accounting requirements where applicable.
Systems & Process Improvement
  • Participate in optimization of ERP modules and financial systems.
  • Evaluate existing processes and help modernize workflows, templates, and reporting tools.
Qualifications
  • Bachelor’s degree in Accounting or Finance required; CPA or CMA preferred but not required.
  • 5+ years of progressive accounting experience.
  • Strong understanding of U.S. GAAP.
  • Experience in multinational or multi‑entity environments preferred (e.g., foreign currency, consolidations).
  • Proficiency with ERP systems and advanced Excel skills.
  • Excellent analytical, communication, and problem‑solving skills.
  • Ability to work independently and manage deadlines in a hybrid environment.
