Allspring Global Investments seeks a senior portfolio analyst for our Portfolio Accounting team. Candidates should have a minimum of 5 years of portfolio accounting or related operations experience, with a history of increasing responsibilities and leadership roles. A proven track record of identifying and implementing improvements—especially controls to mitigate risk—is a strong plus. Leadership skills and a willingness to lead teams and projects are essential.
The role operates in a hybrid model, requiring in‑office work 4 days per week, and is located in Milwaukee, WI.
- Initiate and lead improvements across portfolio accounting and portfolio performance functions.
- Support the deployment of new products and services as part of project teams.
- Lead escalation efforts with custodians and other parties to resolve discrepancies timely and address root causes.
- Identify opportunities to reduce risk and increase efficiencies across core portfolio accounting functions, including reconciliations, performance analysis, daily cash support, and complex derivatives activities.
- May oversee preparation of daily and month‑end reconciliations, aged items, and monthly management metrics reporting.
- Communicate clearly with custodians, internal operational team members, investment team contacts, and relationship managers to resolve issues and build strong working relationships.
- 5+ years of investment operations experience.
- Strong attention to detail and accuracy.
- Demonstrated time management, analytical, and organizational skills.
- Ability to articulate issues, risks, and proposed solutions to various levels of staff and management.
- Proven ability to manage and mitigate risk and make sound decisions.
- Ability to work effectively in a team environment.
- Excellent verbal, written, and interpersonal communication skills.
- Ability to drive continuous improvement and execution excellence.
- Adaptable to changing environments while maintaining focus.
- Experience in trade support, performance, portfolio operations, or client administration roles.
- Experience with Advent Portfolio Exchange (APX), Bloomberg, CRD, Wall Street Office (WSO), and SS&C Recon.
- Advanced experience with MS Excel and familiarity with technology tools such as MS Access and Power BI.
Base Pay Range: $85,000 - $100,000. Actual base salary may vary based on relevant experience, time in role, internal peer comparisons, prior performance, business sector, and geographic location. The compensation package may include incentive programs linked to performance, such as annual discretionary bonuses or other incentive plans.
