Weekend Program (hourly rate plus 15%) Friday
- Saturday 7:00a-7:30p.
Must be competent and able to perform EEG-LTM-EMU plus one other Modality (either EP, EMG, MEG or AUT) or have their R. EEG T. Under limited supervision of the Neurodiagnostic Tech Educator or delegated team member, prepares patients for routine Electroencephalography (EEG), Electromyography (EMG), long-term and intraoperative monitoring, evoked potentials, nerve conduction velocities, autonomic testing, Neuro Interventional radiology WADA and Positron Emission Tomography (PET) including diagnostic and investigative studies in the laboratory, at the bedside, and in critical care units, on all ages of patients served by the department.
Additional duties include charge capture, scheduling patients, and other duties as assigned. May be required to float to other sites to ensure optimal department operations.
Ability to perform Electroencephalography (EEG), in addition to 1 or more of the following:
Nerve Conduction Velocity Testing (EMG/NCV), Autonomics, Long Term Monitoring, Evoked Potentials or Magnetoencephalography. A minimum of 2 years of experience is preferred.
High School diploma or equivalent is required. 2+ years of proven experience as a Neurodiagnostic Technician is preferred and/or a proven ability to perform Electroencephalography, in addition to 1 or more of the following:
Nerve Conduction Velocity Testing, Autonomics, Long Term Monitoring, Evoked Potentials or Magnetoencephalography, or be a graduate of an accredited Neurodiagnostic Technology program accredited by the Committee on Allied Health Education and Accreditation by the American Board of Registration of Electroencephalography E Evoked Potentials (ABRET).
American Heart Association (AHA) Basic Life Support for the Healthcare Provider (BLS) or an AHA approved equivalent is required within 90 days of hire. Preferred: registration by the American Board of Registration of Electroencephalographic and Evoked Potential Technologists (ABRET) in a minimum of one of the following:
Registered Electroencephalography Technologist (EEG), Registered Nerve Conduction Velocity Testing (EMG/NCV), Certified Autonomic Professional (CAP), Certified Long Term Monitoring Technologist (CLTM), Registered Evoked Potential Technologist.
