Base pay range

$48,641.00/yr - $65,034.00/yr

Role Overview

The Public Health Educator plans, manages, and evaluates public health education initiatives for the Scales Neighborhood Nursing Program at various levels.

Key Responsibilities

Program Coordination: Develop, plan, oversee, and monitor health education initiatives; coordinate with team and community partners; ensure alignment with health equity goals.

Community Outreach, Education, and Navigation: Identify disparities, develop interventions, create educational materials, engage with community, and promote program awareness.

Data Collection and Reporting: Use EHR and databases to record and analyze data; prepare reports; evaluate interventions.

Qualifications

Bachelor’s degree in a related field.
Valid driver’s license and insured vehicle.
For Public Health Educator II:
One year of relevant professional experience.

Conditions of Employment

Occasional evening/weekend work, travel, PPE use, and ability to respond to emergencies.
Pre-employment vaccines and tests required.

Additional Requirements

Knowledge of community health principles, communication skills, judgment, and ability to work independently and in teams.

Salary Ranges

Public Health Educator I: $48,641 - $55,598 (or $50,100 - $57,266 for residents).
Public Health Educator II: $53,914 - $63,140 (or $55,532 - $65,034 for residents).
