Roles and Responsibilities
  • Day‑to‑day hands‑on molecular and cellular biology experiments, following protocols, calibrating equipment, and quality checking reagents and samples.
  • Perform small rodent surgeries, post‑surgical care, and required histological analysis.
  • Maintain meticulous lab notebooks and documentation to ensure reproducibility and integrity of all results.
  • Manage laboratory supplies, equipment, and organization of samples and reagents; stay informed about new developments in relevant scientific techniques.
  • Communicate progress, challenges, and results clearly to the principal investigator and research team; contribute to troubleshooting and optimization of experimental protocols; assist in preparing data for reports and publications.
  • Supervise student employees, including hiring, training, disciplinary actions, and ending assignments.
Qualifications
  • Required knowledge, skills, and abilities:
    Bachelor’s degree in Biology, Neurobiology, Neuroscience, Biochemistry, or Molecular Biology.
  • Required experience:

    Basic neuroscience and cell biology knowledge; molecular and cellular biology and biochemistry techniques.
  • Preferred experience:

    Hands‑on research experience in molecular biology, biochemistry, neuroscience, or a related discipline.
