The MA in this role in Organizational Learning, in partnership with Workforce Development, will oversee the Bridge to Clinical Readiness Program (BTCR) partnering with key stakeholders in OL, ambulatory and workforce development. The complexity of apprenticeship requirements, clinical rotations, externships, and learner progression necessitates a dedicated educator role that can focus on program-management. This role will ensure program consistency, regulatory compliance, and learner experience, as well as provide program governance, coordination, and evaluation;
support apprentices and clinical preceptors; and ensure alignment with educational standards.
The individual in this role will be solution-oriented, autonomous, forward-thinking, and system-thinking, able to build partnerships within the system and with potential MA apprentice programs.
Location and Work Schedule- Location: Milwaukee, WI (Froedtert Hospital) – On-Site. Travel needed for Monday orientation’s in Menomonee Falls and clinic visits to support new hires, remediation or teaching classes.

Responsible for assessing learning needs and learning performance/competence of the MA/LPN role in assigned clinical area(s). In collaboration with key stakeholders, the Clinical Educator-MA designs, develops, implements, and evaluates education using best available evidence to meet identified learning needs of staff including but not limited to: onboarding, competency, regulatory education, supporting professional development, and just-in-time education. Acts in the role of collaborative partner and educational leader, facilitator, instructor, subject matter expert, change agent, mentor, consultant and advocate.
Partners with System Educators to identify and develop role-based and/or specialty-area education. Deploys Froedtert Health System (FH) education/programming at the local/specialty level. Teaches system, site, role-based and department/specialty-based classes/courses as assigned. Scope and Standards of Practice 3rd Edition (2016). Other duties as assigned.
- A minimum of three years of recent applicable clinical practice experience as a Medical Assistant or LPN.
- Experience in an informal or formal leadership capacity (ex. Preceptor, Lead, Governance Council Chair, leader, etc.).
- Experience in applying adult learning principles and instructional/curriculum design, preferred.
- Experience in precepting or training in a clinical setting, preferred.
- High school diploma or equivalent required.
- One of the following combinations of education and experience:
- A.) Graduate of a CAAHEP or ABHES accredited Medical Assistant Program (Associate, Diploma or Certificate).
- B.) Graduate of a non CAAHEP or ABHES Medical Assistant program (Associate, diploma, or Certificate) or Military Medic/Corpsman training. In addition to education, three (3) years of formal on-the-job Medical Assistant experience required.
- C.) Currently possess and are in good standing with at least one of the following credentials:
- a.) Certified Medical Assistant (CMA)
- b.) Registered Medical Assistant (RMA)
- c.) Assessment Based Recognition in Order Entry (ABROE)
- d.) CCMA Certified Clinical Medical Assistant.
Proficient in Microsoft Applications and Computer Skills, required.
LicensureAmerican Heart Association (AHA) Basic Life Support for the Healthcare Provider (BLS) or an AHA approved equivalent is required within 90 days of hire. Certification through the AAMA and/or an equal certification board or certification is preferred.
