You'll be responsible for ensuring specimens are accurately received, processed, documented, and prepared for testing while maintaining the highest standards of quality and compliance.

• Process and prepare laboratory specimens with a high degree of accuracy and attention to detail
• Verify specimen integrity and supporting documentation to ensure testing requirements are met
• Perform data entry and documentation within laboratory information systems
• Track, receive, and ship specimens while maintaining proper handling and storage requirements
• Communicate professionally with clients, providers, and internal teams to resolve specimen or documentation questions
• Support quality, regulatory, and compliance requirements within a highly regulated laboratory environment
• Assist with inventory management, equipment maintenance, and departmental organization

What We're Looking For

• High School Diploma or equivalent required
• Associate degree coursework or education in a science, healthcare, or medical-related field preferred
• 1+ years of customer service experience required
• Medical, laboratory, healthcare, or specimen-processing experience preferred
• Experience with data entry or Laboratory Information Systems (LIS) is a plus
• Strong organizational skills and attention to detail
• Ability to prioritize tasks, follow established procedures, and work independently
• Excellent communication and customer service skills
• Commitment to quality, accuracy, and supporting patient care

The target salary is based on internal averages. Versiti sets salary ranges aligned to local markets in which the job is performed. Compensation decisions take into account internal salary averages and differentiation based on education, experience, skills, and performance.
