The Guest Service Associate/Valet is responsible for providing exceptional hospitality services to guests in an attentive, friendly and efficient manner. The Guest Service Associate is responsible for parking and retrieving guest vehicles in a prompt yet safe manner and assisting guests with luggage, including delivery and pick up of guest luggage during arrival and departure.

Compensation

Towne Park is committed to offering competitive, fair, and commensurate compensation. The hourly base pay range for this position is $10 - $14 per hour plus $7 - $10 in tips.

Work Schedule

Potential work schedule is weekdays, weekends, holidays, all shifts.

Responsibilities
  • Maintain a pleasant, friendly and professional demeanor with all guests, co-workers, and clients.
  • Greet guests within five feet with a professional and friendly demeanor; use guest last names during interactions.
  • Use salutation of the day, welcome guests, practice phone etiquette, and post up in designated areas when not completing tasks.
  • Park and retrieve vehicles while driving slowly and cautiously; assist guests with bell services and luggage storage as needed; open all vehicle and hotel doors for guests.
  • Assist guests with directions, taxis, reservations, and other inquiries; provide information about outlets, meeting rooms, amenities, and main attractions; deliver messages, items, and guest amenities as requested; shuttle guests to approved locations.
  • Explain parking rates and retrieval procedures to guests upon arrival; issue claim checks after receiving vehicle keys; consistently complete and maintain ticket information including key tag, guest folio, location of vehicle, damage survey, and claim check receipt.
  • Calculate and collect revenue for vehicles when needed.
  • Perform parallel parking.
Qualifications
  • Education:

    High school diploma or GED.
  • Required Licensure:
    Valid driver’s license for the state you are applying to work.
  • Work Experience:

    One month related experience and/or training or equivalent combination of education and experience.
  • Knowledge:
    Principles and processes for providing customer and personal services.
  • Skills:

    Understand and perform basic reading, writing, and arithmetic; operate manual transmission; perform parallel parking.
Physical Requirements

Regularly required to talk or hear, sit or stand for extended periods, run, walk, handle or feel objects, reach with hands and arms, climb stairs, balance. Lifting up to 100 pounds occasionally and up to 50 pounds frequently. Outdoor work for extended periods; protection from weather conditions may be provided.
