Michael Best & Friedrich LLP is seeking a proactive, results-driven Recruiting Specialist to join our team. This role plays a key part in attracting top talent by managing the full recruitment lifecycle for business professional roles and supporting strategic hiring initiatives across the firm. The ideal candidate is a strong relationship builder, thrives in a fast-paced environment, and is passionate about delivering an exceptional candidate experience.
Key Responsibilities:
- Own the recruitment process for assigned business professional positions, including sourcing, screening, interviewing, and managing offers.
- Develop and execute sourcing strategies using Linked In, job boards, networking, and internal databases.
- Draft compelling job postings and ensure accurate placement across platforms.
- Conduct initial and follow‑up interviews, providing hiring managers with qualified candidate recommendations.
- Manage candidate communications throughout the process, ensuring a positive experience.
- Prepare and extend offers, coordinating onboarding with HR.
- Partner with hiring managers to understand role requirements and advise on market trends and best practices.
- Build and maintain talent pipelines for critical roles and future hiring needs.
Collaboration & Relationship Management
- Serve as a trusted advisor to hiring managers and internal stakeholders.
- Communicate professionally with candidates and maintain strong relationships to support long‑term engagement.
- Collaborate with HR and other departments on workforce planning and recruiting strategies.
Event & Program Support
- Represent the firm at career fairs, networking events, and campus recruiting programs.
- Assist in planning and executing recruiting‑related events and initiatives.
Job Requirements:
Qualifications
- Bachelor’s degree in Human Resources, Business, or related field.
- 2+ years of recruiting experience (law firm or professional services experience preferred).
- Proven ability to manage full‑cycle recruiting and build strong candidate pipelines.
- Excellent organizational, communication, and relationship‑building skills.
- Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite; experience with ATS platforms strongly preferred.
- Ability to manage multiple priorities and meet deadlines in a fast‑paced environment.
- Professional demeanor and ability to handle confidential information with discretion.
- Valid authorization to work in the U.S.
