Scion Staffing has been engaged to conduct a search for an Accounts Payable & HR Specialist for a mission‑driven, community‑centered educational organization. This is a full‑year, onsite position based in Milwaukee, Wisconsin.

POSITION OVERVIEW

The Accounts Payable & HR Specialist plays a vital role in supporting the financial, human resources, and administrative operations of a collaborative school environment. This position partners closely with internal teams to ensure accurate accounting processes, smooth HR administration, and reliable operational support. The ideal candidate is highly organized, detail‑oriented, and motivated by contributing to a values‑based organization.

RESPONSIBILITIES
  • Manage accounts payable processes, including invoices, purchase orders, payments, and record‑keeping
  • Support human resources functions such as onboarding, benefits administration, employee records, and compliance tracking
  • Provide payroll support by maintaining PTO records, processing time adjustments, and supporting payroll systems
  • Serve as backup support for accounts receivable, including payment processing, deposits, and reconciliations
  • Assist with ordering, purchasing, vendor coordination, and annual supply needs
  • Support month‑end close, budgeting, reporting, audits, and other administrative or financial projects
QUALIFICATIONS
  • Hands‑on experience supporting accounting, finance, HR, or administrative operations
  • Proficiency with Quick Books, ADP, Microsoft Excel, and database systems
  • Strong organizational skills with exceptional attention to detail
  • Ability to handle confidential information with professionalism and discretion
  • Clear written and verbal communication skills with a collaborative mindset
COMPENSATION AND BENEFITS

This position offers an annual salary range of $58,000–$60,000, commensurate with relevant experience, along with a comprehensive benefits package and the opportunity to work in a supportive, mission‑driven educational environment.
