Executive Advisory Services Manager Full-Time, Senior Individual Contributor

About

The Role

As a VP of Talent Compensation Strategy, you will anchor a growing portfolio of client engagements, research initiatives, and internal programs within ACPWB's Executive Advisory Services division. Your expertise in corporate governance best practices will be applied directly to deliverables consumed by HR executives, compensation committees, and boards of directors at organizations ranging from regional employers to Fortune 50 enterprises.

Key Responsibilities
  • Support the maintenance and continuous improvement of ACPWB's compensation certification programs
  • Design and lead compensation committee education sessions on corporate governance best practices governance
  • Develop customized pay transparency readiness assessment solutions for clients undergoing significant organizational or strategic change
  • Lead or support research engagements focused on corporate governance best practices, from initial scoping through final delivery
  • Manage data acquisition and vendor relationships for Aon McLagan Survey and other benchmarking resources
Qualifications Required
  • Comfort with ambiguity and a proven track record of producing structured, defensible solutions despite it
  • Strong project management skills with the ability to manage multiple work streams simultaneously
  • Ability to work independently with minimal supervision while contributing to a collaborative team culture
  • Experience with statistical or econometric analysis applied to compensation and workforce data
  • Working knowledge of human capital disclosure requirements under SEC, SASB, or equivalent standards
  • Professional certification (CCP, CEP, CBP, or equivalent) preferred or in progress
Preferred
  • Familiarity with the Milwaukee business community and Midwest labor markets
  • Experience with proxy statement preparation or Say-on-Pay advisory work
  • Prior involvement in compensation-related legislative or regulatory comment processes
WHY ACPWB

ACPWB was not designed to be the largest firm in our space. It was designed to be the most credible one. That decision shapes everything — how we staff, what work we take, how we train our team, and how we respond when a client asks us to reach a conclusion we cannot intellectually support.

ACPWB was founded in Milwaukee in 2006 with a simple mandate: help working Americans understand and advocate for the compensation they deserve. Eighteen years later, that mandate has grown into a full-service research and advisory practice serving clients from early-stage employers to Fortune 50 enterprises — and we are still based in Milwaukee, because Milwaukee is genuinely underrated.

INTERVIEW PROCESS

Finalists are invited to a two-hour working session with the team — a structured discussion of a real analytical scenario relevant to the role. There is no single correct answer. The session is a preview of what collaboration looks like didates consistently find it useful regardless of outcome.

What Success Looks Like In Year One
  • Contribute meaningfully to at least one cross-functional firm initiative
  • Build productive working relationships with team members across at least three internal practice areas
  • Complete a self-directed analysis of a relevant market trend and share findings with your practice group
  • Successfully guide a junior team member through a full engagement cycle as a peer coach

Develop fluency with ACPWB's client communication norms, deliverable standards, and quality review process
