Overview
Michels Corporation is seeking a Director, Global AI & Data Program to lead enterprise-wide AI and data strategy. This role oversees global AI and data governance, compliance, and architecture to ensure alignment with corporate goals, regulations, and ethical standards. The Director will define and execute roadmaps for AI, machine learning, and data platforms, ensuring scalability, compliance, and responsible use. By driving trusted, data-driven decision-making, this role enables innovation and operational excellence across Michels’ global operations.

- Define and execute roadmaps for AI, machine learning, and data platforms with scalability and responsible use in mind.
- Drive trusted, data-driven decision-making to enable innovation and operational excellence across global operations.
- Collaborate with cross-functional teams to align technology initiatives with corporate goals and regulatory requirements.
- Bachelor’s degree in Information Technology, Computer Science, Data Science, Business, or related field, plus 10+ years of experience in enterprise AI and/or data governance, architecture, or compliance (or equivalent).
- 7–10 years of experience managing technical teams and complex governance or architecture functions.
- Knowledge of adaptive AI governance principles to accommodate evolving AI use models.
- Demonstrated expertise in vendor management, contract negotiation, and compliance.
- Excellent communication, stakeholder engagement, and influence across global, cross-functional environments.
- Knowledge of enterprise AI and data platform ecosystems and architecture, including technologies such as Azure AI, AWS Sage Maker, Google Cloud AI, Databricks, Snowflake, and MLOps tools; familiarity with data governance platforms (e.g., Collibra, Informatica) and AI model lifecycle management.
- Ability to integrate technology and business strategy in asset-intensive or field-driven organizations.
- Familiarity with enterprise ERP systems (e.g., SAP, Oracle, Viewpoint, CoRe, Workday) or similar platforms (desirable).
- A valid driver's license for the type(s) of vehicles you may drive and an acceptable driving record.
