WWS, a subsidiary of WEC Energy Group, is seeking a Desktop Engineer (IT Infrastructure Consultant) in our Milwaukee, Wisconsin location. This position currently offers flexibility for a hybrid work arrangement (remote/on-site) with time spent in the Milwaukee office.
This position is part of a job family (IT Infrastructure Consultant and Senior IT Infrastructure Consultant) where experience will be the determining factor.

Job SummaryThis position works as a member of the IT Corporate Device Support Team to support the company’s distributed end user device fleet. Specific functional areas include, but are not limited to: desktop and mobile computing devices, virtual desktop environments, OS customizations and upgrades, image creation and maintenance, security patching, application packaging and distribution and software support.
Job Responsibilities- Creates and maintains custom corporate images for a variety of Windows-based end user devices.
- Optimizes OS configurations for peak performance under different operating conditions and environments – physical/virtual, on-site/mobile.
- Manages hardware standards and works closely with vendors to develop and maintain sustainable device roadmaps for all areas of the company.
- Provides operational 3rd level support and troubleshooting.
- Develops working knowledge of company-wide systems, equipment, and applications and how they interact to support the business. Work assignments may include 24x7 coverage.
- May require travel to other locations.
- Bachelor’s Degree
- 2+ years of relevant IT experience
- Bachelor’s Degree in Computer Science, Management Information Systems or a related field
- 2+ years of Microsoft Configuration Manager experience
- Power Shell scripting experience
