Overview
The IT Field Support Technician provides on‑site support across the Milwaukee area. This role requires strong customer service skills, excellent attention to detail, and the ability to work independently while meeting deadlines in a fast‑paced clinical environment. The technician will support desktops, laptops, mobile devices, rebuild processes, data backup tasks, and various field support activities.
Key Responsibilities- Deliver high‑quality, customer‑focused technical support to internal employees.
- Perform computer rebuilds following established procedures and documentation steps.
- Assist with data backup and restoration within the Windows OS environment.
- Provide field support for desktop hardware, software, peripherals, and mobile devices.
- Work with large datasets and complete tasks using Microsoft Excel.
- Update, track, and resolve tickets within the Service Now platform.
- Install, troubleshoot, and support CCTV and related equipment when required.
- Ensure professional conduct, hygiene, and etiquette in sensitive hospital environments.
- Adapt to new technologies and evolving IT processes.
- Complete assigned tasks independently while maintaining punctuality and reliability.
Skills & Qualifications
- Strong attention to detail and ability to follow documented processes.
- Excellent customer service and communication abilities.
- Ability to work independently under pressure and meet deadlines.
- Familiarity with Service Now or similar ITSM platforms.
- Proficiency with Microsoft Excel, including handling large data sets.
- Experience with desktop troubleshooting, installation, and break/fix support.
- Basic understanding of CCTV installation and support (preferred).
- Reliable personal vehicle and a valid driver’s license.
- Ability to lift up to 50 lbs. as needed.
- Working mobile phone for onsite communication.
- Comfortable working within hospital settings while following professional standards.
- Open to learning new technologies and improving existing IT workflows.
This is a contract position based out of Milwaukee, WI.
Pay and BenefitsPay range: $20.00 - $22.00/hr.
