Job Description
von Briesen & Roper, s.c. is seeking a Paralegal to join our team in our Waukesha office
. This position supports our Worker's Compensation team within our Labor & Employment section.
The primary responsibilities for this role include:
- Reading and reviewing medical records
- Drafting correspondence and pleadings
- Investigating case facts, conducting research, on relevant laws, regulations and legal articles
- Gathering and arranging evidence for attorney review and case preparation
- Maintaining and organizing reference files
- Filing exhibits, briefs, appeals and other legal documents with the court
- Maintaining attorney calendars
Qualified candidates will have a Bachelor’s or Associate’s degree in Paralegal Studies or a Paralegal Certification. Prior experience in Worker’s Compensation, Medical Malpractice or Civil Litigation is preferred. Additional qualifications include exceptional client service skills, multitasking, attention to detail and organization skills. Proficiency with Microsoft Office Suite and document management systems and experience with legal software preferred.
