You Are A proven business builder. You have led an organization — a consulting practice, a business development function, or a commercial team — and you know what it takes to grow revenue, build talent, and set a market strategy from the top.

A major account originator. You have a track record of personally sourcing and closing large, complex engagements with senior R&D and innovation leaders at Med Tech OEMs. You don't need a warm intro or institutional support to open a door.

An AI leader with substance. You understand how AI and data are reshaping R&D operations and you can set a credible vision for AI-enabled transformation in front of a skeptical board or C-suite.

A Med Tech authority. You are recognized in the industry — through your network, your thought leadership, or your track record — as someone who understands the product development lifecycle, the regulatory environment, and the strategic pressures facing R&D organizations.

Job Description:

This is a business leadership role, not a senior delivery role. We are looking for a Principal Director who has already built and run something meaningful — a practice, a business unit, a market — and is ready to do it again at Accenture scale.

You will own a defined segment of our Med Tech R&D growth agenda: setting the strategy, building the team, originating and closing major client engagements, and being accountable for the P&L. You have the credibility to walk into a boardroom conversation with a Chief R&D Officer and be seen as a peer. AI fluency is not a nice-to-have — it is central to how you lead and what you sell.
