Position Title: Blending Lead

Wage: $26.00 - $27.00/hour

Shift: 2nd

Hours: 3:00pm - 11:30pm

Blending Lead Responsibilities
  • Weigh ingredients; handle bulk cartons, sacks, loaded carts and pallets
  • Blend and package tea and botanicals; operate Blending Machine and Mini Mixer
  • Execute, complete and verify assigned blending jobs
  • Lead and direct a crew of 2-4 Blenders; coordinate daily blending activities
  • Train Blending Team members and monitor work quality
  • Set daily blending schedule with Scheduling Supervisor
  • Coordinate and communicate with Warehouse Department
  • Ensure procedures, preventive maintenance and paperwork accuracy
  • Follow written and oral instructions; review and sign all blending orders before and after production
  • Match product names, item codes and lot codes correctly; distinguish and segregate ingredients properly
  • Serve as backup to Blending Technician as needed
  • Meet or exceed daily production goals
  • Maintain a sanitary, organized work area; clean before, during, and after each job
  • Follow production guidelines, food manufacturing, facility safety rules, and Rishi Tea food safety protocols
Requirements for Blending Lead
  • 1+ year experience in a fast-paced production environment
  • Ability to read and match long sequences of letters/numbers
  • Basic English verbal understanding
  • High school diploma or equivalent preferred
  • 2+ years of production and/or leadership experience preferred
  • Food safety training; experience with organic/certified food-safe facilities preferred
  • Able to lift up to 55lbs repeatedly
  • Able to climb stairs and ladders
  • Able to wear respirator mask
