Responsible for completing Printed Circuit Boards Assemblies (PCBAs) prototype and pilot builds. This includes, but is not limited to, programming electronic manufacturing process equipment, coordinating equipment installation in facilities ensuring all EHS requirements are met and facilitating final acceptance of all assembly processes. This role will also coordinate prototype builds and lead the cross‑functional evaluation of these activities. They will be responsible for completing the final routing in accordance with that facilities requirement along with the documented work instructions.
The goal of this role is to enable the early build of prototypes on a production system. All work will be completed in accordance with manufacturing standards established by the Process Engineering organization. Experience with PCBA, SMT pre‑ and post‑operations (conformal coat, routing, wave and selective solder) is required. You will report to the Industrialization Manager and work onsite in Milwaukee, WI.
Responsibilities
- Support PCBA prototype builds for development enabling operations more time to develop their employees and realize Df(x) improvement to design.
- Coordinate PCBA prototype and pilot builds and participate in evaluation activities.
- Finalize all Manufacturing Execution System deliverables including routing, part extension validation, work instructions (digital and print), operator & maintenance training, hyper‑care support or production application.
- Ensure compliance with manufacturing standards established by the Process Engineering organization.
- Manage projects across different product lines and teams, communicating timelines and action plans to deliver cost‑effective test solutions.
- Lead, coach and mentor others within the NPI Build team across multiple manufacturing process areas to build cross‑functional expertise.
- Work with some direct supervision and on issues of diverse scope requiring analysis of data and business trends.
- Simultaneously support multiple business units and manufacturing plants.
- Work with multi‑location and multi‑time‑zone teams, often remotely.
- Early build of production system to enable development builds during the design phase on the production line.
- Create documented work instructions (DWI).
- Coordinate prototype and pilot build evaluation activities.
- Ensure compliance with all production environmental, health and safety requirements.
- Facilitate final acceptance of all new assembly processes.
- Bachelor's Degree in a relevant field.
- Legal authorization to work in the U.S. – visas are not sponsored for this position.
- Ability to travel around 10% of the time.
- Typically requires 2+ years of experience in a manufacturing environment, PCBA.
- Demonstrated understanding of the New Product Introduction process.
- Experience coordinating and building discrete assembly lines and/or PCBA assembly process.
- Good understanding of manufacturing processes and engineering.
- Experience with Manufacturing Execution Systems.
- Ability to adjust to changes in priority and scope.
- Good written and verbal communication skills in English.
- Proficient using Microsoft Office, familiar with Optel and SAP.
- PMP or similar certifications/experience.

This position is part of a job family. Experience will be the determining factor for position level and compensation.
For this role, the base salary compensation is from $78,400 to $117,600 with an annual target bonus of 5% of base salary.
