Job DescriptionSHIFT: 7:00 AM to 5:30 PM
Pay: $19/hr
Job Summary: Responsible for machine operation and crew in a light industrial setting. Must manage machine team to ensure proper and safe operation of assigned equipment. Responsible for quality, output, and meeting production goals. Additionally, fulfills the job duties of a Production Technician 1 and 2 as required.
Key Duties / Responsibilities- Production: Monitors performance of machine and personnel. Ensures goals are being met and issues are communicated to Supervisor and/or Production Technician 3 Lead. Completes all work assignments during production. Checks material, pocket set‑ups, moves material offline no longer needed, and other assignments as necessary. Applies advanced troubleshooting skills and performs basic maintenance on assigned machines that improve quality and performance. Assists crew members when needed.
40% - Crew Leadership / Training: Organizes crew activities and delegates assignments. Performs assigned duties. Trains and develops all crew members.
30% - Quality and Waste: Monitors product quality for correctness and reports when errors occur. Monitors print and bundle quality. Makes adjustments as necessary to correct quality issues. Monitors product waste and takes steps to reduce or eliminate spoilage and doubles.
15% - Communication / Record Keeping: Maintains accurate record keeping IE: safety audits, packages per hour, labor hours per thousand and other logs or forms. Communicates personnel issues to the Supervisor or Production Technician 3 Lead. Informs other Operators/Supervisors of pertinent information and communicates to other shifts as necessary. Other duties as assigned.

- Education: High School Diploma or GED (Preferred)
- Experience: 3-5 Years related experience;
Basic computer experience. - Knowledge / Skills / Abilities:
- Ability to multi‑task.
- Demonstrates ability to line lead or crew lead for one machine.
- Ability to work in a fast‑paced environment (varying upon equipment).
- Attention to detail.
- Effective communicator (share equipment knowledge, quality, and safety concerns).
- Ability to troubleshoot machine problems.
- Mathematical skills and advanced skills in production reports.
- Basic computer skills; technical skills may vary based on equipment.
- Ability and knowledge to operate a pallet jack.
- Strong knowledge and understanding of machine and manufacturing operations.
- Ability to speak and communicate effectively using English (preferred).

Machine specific software. - Communication and Contacts:
- Lead, coach and maintain open communication with other production team members.
- Participate in Team Business Meetings.
- Decision Making:
- Work prioritization to meet production commitments and goals.
- Machine staffing assignments.
- Machine processing speed.
- Other: Ability to work overtime, beyond regular schedule, to complete work assignments as required.
The physical demands described here are representative of those that must be met by an employee to successfully perform the essential functions of this job. While performing the duties of this job, the employee may carry up to 15 lbs., may push and pull up to 40 lbs., twist, stand, walk, reach and grip/grasp throughout the shift. Employees are also required to frequently lift up to 15 lbs.,
and squat and kneel. Lastly, employees are required to have the ability to work in a fast‑paced environment.
