• Read and interpret blueprint specifications to determine procedures and sequences of operations.
• Set up, adjust, and operate machine tools with limited supervision.
• Perform complex machine setups and critical machining operations.
• Position and secure work pieces and tools accurately.
• Operate various hand tools and machine tools to perform finishing work and adjustments.
• Use precision measuring devices to ensure conformance to specifications.
• Examine surfaces for defects and perform necessary corrections.
• Sharpen cutting tools as needed.
• Troubleshoot and resolve operating, material, and tooling issues.
• Perform preventive maintenance on tools and equipment.
• Complete all required documentation and paperwork accurately.
• Follow all safety, quality, sanitation, and housekeeping standards.

• Education/
  
  Experience:
  
  1–3 years of skilled trades training in machine tool operations, plus 1–2 years of related work experience.
• Language
  
  Skills:
  
  Ability to read blueprints, operating manuals, and maintenance instructions. Must be able to communicate effectively with team members.
• Math
  
  Skills:
  
  Proficiency in basic arithmetic, including fractions and decimals. Ability to compute rates, ratios, and percentages.
• Reasoning Ability: Capable of understanding and carrying out instructions delivered in written, oral, or diagram form. Ability to solve problems involving multiple variables in standardized situations.

• Regularly required to stand, handle objects, tools, or controls with hands.
• Frequently required to walk and communicate.
• Occasionally required to sit, reach above shoulder level, climb, balance, stoop, kneel, or crawl.
• Must be able to frequently lift up to 50 lbs and occasionally up to 100 lbs.
