JOB REQUIREMENTS:

RECEIVING AND INVENTORY CONTROL SPECIALIST M-F: 1st Shift (7am 3:30pm)

Responsibilities
  • Facilitate inventory accuracy and availability.
  • Assist the receiving department with receiving raw materials and managing cycle counting and control of expired materials.
  • Perform cycle counts of materials by lot number and location, including data entry.
  • Prioritize which items to cycle count based on priority list and recent count history.
  • Update expiration dates and relabel materials based on recertification report from R&D.
  • Assist the Receiving Department with material and non‑raw material receipts and labeling of raw materials.
  • Perform verification and sign‑off on tanker unloading.
  • Participate in the material‑movement process to ensure inventory accuracy, including monitoring Distribution Orders, Transport Tasks, and replenishment of materials in the Large Batch and CARC areas.
  • Adhere to safety rules, promote safe work practices, and report safety violations.
  • Assist with disposal of hazardous waste (initial training by Environmental and Safety department or supervisor; annual training by EHS).
  • Comply with all quality, safety, and work rules and regulations.
  • Perform miscellaneous duties as assigned.
Work Environment

During duties, employee frequently required to talk/hear, stand/walk, use hands to handle objects, and move from place to place. Employee required to sit, balance, stoop, occasionally reach above shoulders, use foot to operate machinery, climb or balance. May have to lift up to 65 lbs. Personal Protective Equipment is required in production area (safety shoes, glasses, flame‑retardant uniforms; respirators and ear plugs may be required for certain activities).

Qualifications
  • High school diploma and/or GED preferred.
  • Two to four years of experience in manufacturing environment, preferably chemicals or coatings, or a warehouse environment with inventory control responsibility.
  • Willing to work in a team environment and contribute to group goals.
  • Excellent computer skills (Microsoft Office Word, Excel, Outlook), ERP system, and other office machinery.
  • Superb written and verbal communication skills.
  • Ability to receive and provide instructions in a positive manner.
  • Forklift certification strongly preferred.
  • Detail‑oriented with ability to multi‑task.
  • Clean work habits and skill in handling large volumes of liquid raw materials.
