Welder​/Fitter

• Ensure a safe working environment for yourself and those around you.
• Perform welding on all required thicknesses and materials such as 1/16"+ AR, A36, stainless steel, and manganese using the proper filler metal.
• Fitting and assembling independently, including training others.
• Expertise in open table fitting/welding.
• Read and interpret blueprints accurately.
• Maintain a clean and organized work area.
• Follow direction from a lead or leader on daily tasks.
• Determine the proper tools and machinery required to meet the production schedule.
• Conduct final inspection of all parts to ensure they meet quality standards.
• Complete required monthly safety training.
• Perform required preventative maintenance on department machinery.
• Provide support and backup as needed for all other assigned projects and tasks.
• Support BCT's culture and core values.

• 10+ years of experience reading and interpreting blueprints.
• 10+ years of welding/fabrication experience.
• Ability to lay out, position, align, and square parts.
• Attention to detail and thoroughness with all tasks.
• Ability to make decisions and follow through.
• Ability to perform multiple welding disciplines such as GTAW, GMAW, FCAW, and SMAW.

• High school diploma or equivalent preferred, but not required.
• Welding certification preferred but not required.
• Proficiency in troubleshooting skills, tape measure reading, and blueprint reading.
