Overview
This position involves achieving quality castings in the operation of a brass low-pressure casting unit. Responsibilities include programmed machine cycle start, monitoring of HMI controls/alarms, shot blasting mold, and hand loading of ingot bars in an automated feeder.
Essential Duties And Responsibilities- Ensure automated production equipment and material specifications are within operating parameters of the process sheet.
- Visually inspect castings to meet foundry department standards.
- Monitor machine alarms for malfunctions and adjust to maximize efficiency (up to 80 sec/cycle) or notify the casting lead for adjustments.
- Complete all production paperwork to improve production methods and equipment performance.
- Identify scrap and segregate it from production.
- Perform weekly molten metal furnace cleaning.
- Perform all job functions as outlined in the functional job analysis.

Education And/or ExperienceRequired:
- High School Diploma or G.E.D. required
- Must pass Chicago Faucets Functional Job Analysis
Preferred:
- Prior experience in foundry or die casting manufacturing environment
- Understand basic casting practices
Starting at $29.00 per hour plus $3.00 shift premium
