manufacturer of UL heavy gauge steel fuel tanks, trailers, large generator enclosures and modular metal enclosures for housing fully equipped electrical distribution and control equipment.

Global Power Components is seeking a
Senior Quality Control Inspector
. This role is ideal for a seasoned professional with strong mechanical aptitude and proven experience conducting comprehensive inspections on mechanical systems and integrated electrical equipment.
Shift Details

• Openings available on
  1st and 2nd shift
• Key Responsibilities

• Perform inspections on mechanical and electrical assemblies to ensure compliance with internal and customer specifications.

• Ensure all quality documentation is complete, accurate, and properly maintained.
• Coordinate with the Quality Control team to ensure progress and meet production and shipping timelines.
• Identify and escalate quality issues that may impact delivery or product performance.
• Maintain visibility of product status throughout the QC and production process.
• Collaborate with Engineering, Production, and other departments to resolve issues and improve processes.
• Participate in corrective actions
  for non-conformances and recurring defects.
• Support training efforts and ensure staff are informed of current quality standards and procedures.
• Participate in audits, process reviews, and continuous improvement initiatives.
• Assist in updating SOPs, training materials, and inspection protocols as needed.

Daily Activity Breakdown

• 10%Part and component inspection
• 80%Assembly and final product inspection
• 10%Process Improvements, CA/PA, Data process/analysis/reporting, and cross-functional collaboration

Qualifications

• Minimum 3–5 years of experience in quality control or inspection in a manufacturing environment.

• Experience in power generation, diesel systems, or enclosure manufacturing preferred.

• Weld knowledge is preferred, especially weld inspection
• Proficiency in blueprint reading, mechanical drawings, and customer-supplied manuals.
• The ability to read and interpret measurements using rulers, calipers, and other precision tools. Skills in MS Excel and Word; experience with
  ERP systems
  (e.g., Epicor) and SharePoint is a plus.
• Demonstrated experience with Pareto charts, defect tracking, and process improvement initiatives is a plus.
• Excellent communication and problem-solving skills.
• Ability to write clear and effective
  corrective actions
  and follow through on resolution.
