- Execute and document manufacturing processing steps or support activities, process monitoring, and control within one functional area (e.g., Fermentation, Purification, Recovery, Cell Culture) and all support functions (e.g., Glasswash, Buffer/Solution Prep).
- Perform in‑process sampling and testing (e.g., pH, conductivity, visual inspection).
- Execute validation protocols according to CGMP standard operating procedures (SOPs).
- Maintain training to perform all required activities.
- Execute manufacturing tasks using all applicable Distributed Control Systems such as Delta V, 800xA, Unicorn, etc.
- Conduct take‑outs, identity check returns, and other tasks in Manufacturing Execution System (MES).
- Perform clean‑in‑place (CIP), steam‑in‑place (SIP), and other equipment cleanings.
- Perform other duties as assigned.
- High School Diploma/GED with 4+ years of experience in a CGMP manufacturing environment; or
- Associate degree in life science, engineering, or a relevant technical field with 2+ years of experience in a CGMP manufacturing environment; or
- Bachelor’s degree in life science, engineering, or a relevant technical field with no prior experience; or
- Equivalent Military training or experience.
- Experience with unit operations such as Cell Culture, Fermentation, etc.
Physical Requirements
- Ability to discern audible cues.
- Will work in an environment that may necessitate respiratory protection.
- Ability to inspect or perform tasks with 20/20 corrected vision, including color distinction.
- Ability to stand up to 240 minutes or sit up to 240 minutes.
- Ability to perform repetitive motions with wrists, hands, or fingers.
- Ability to lift up to 33 pounds.
- Ability to bend, push, pull, reach materials from 18” to 60” in height, and use twisting motions.
- Will work in environments ranging from 0‑100°F.
