Job Description

Basic Function:
This position is responsible for managing and assembling tooling projects.

This position reports to the Tool Room Manager.

This position has the authority to make basic tool and die decisions.

• Is responsible for managing assigned tooling projects to meet quality and delivery expectations of the customer.
• Is responsible for assembling tooling, ensuring machined components are to specifications and processes used will meet scheduling completion date.
• Is responsible for actively participating in Pre-Build meetings to determine most efficient manufacturing processes.
• Is responsible for machining components using standard processes to required tolerances and completion dates.

• Set-up and operate machine tools to manufacture components.
• Assemble components into tooling.
• Train/Mentor Apprentices.
• Demonstrates safe work habits.
• Maintain a clean and organized work area using 5S principles.
