Global Power Components is a privately held, growing manufacturer of UL heavy gauge steel fuel tanks, trailers, large generator enclosures and modular metal enclosures for housing fully-equipped electrical distribution and control equipment.
We are seeking 1st & 2nd Shift Material Handlers to assist in the movement of steel/metal and other materials.
(West Milwaukee & South Milwaukee Locations)
Responsibilities- Move materials to work areas in preparation for building product
- Load & Unload Trucks
- Order Picking
- Coordinate and stage materials quickly and safely
- Read blueprints to determine materials necessary for projects as well as timelines to prepare for projects
- Previous experience as a material handler
- Previous Forklift experience (sit-down) (Overhead Crane Experience a plus)
- 1-3 years in a manufacturing environment
- Able to troubleshoot and problem solve
- Must be highly motivated
- Able to communicate and work well with others
- Pay attention to details and have a strong drive to succeed
- Must pass competency test and pre-employment

- Excellent job security, 40+ hours a week, 52 weeks a year (most employees work 50 hours a week)
- OT paid over 40 hours
